Deleting stuff on your Windows XP system? Well, that is what I was doing yesterday. I was in fact deleting some Yahoo crap. Problem was, everytime I restarted my system I kept getting a dialogue window that stated, ‘Yahoo updater Needs to be shut down’. Why am I getting that message? It’s frustrating, you use the programs uninstall program, and it leaves behind chunks of itself to clutter up your OS. How do you get rid of it? Well, you could go to ‘Start’ then click ‘Run’ then type in ‘regedit’ then hit ctrl+f and painstakingly go through and find all the Yahoo entries and delete them. Which is what I have been doing. It is rough. Or you could shell out $30 or more for a registry cleaner that you have no control over, and possibly damage the crap out of your system and prevent it from even booting. Or……You could simply go to WorldStart.com and get one of the coolest registry editors on the planet. RegCleaner is an awesome little editor that allows you to navigate and delete regestries faster than you can click ‘Uninstall’. Have fun!
